Event: NZV8 Reclaim The City Meet

The last Friday night of every month down around the docks of Auckland a crowd forms surrounding a group of highly modified muscle machines. The roar of V8′s thunders through the empty streets and the smell of burning rubber is thick in the air. This Friday was a rather small turnout with only a quarter of the usual participants. However some amazing and immaculate cars still turned up. Like this custom blown chevy V8 powered T-bucket. With that much power most would opt for a larger steering wheel and a tad more safety features, these guys ain’t soft.Always a common sites at these sorts of meets is the classic Ford Model A. The travel trunk, super cool.Tyres don’t last long on this VK Commodore. It was quite odd to see a euro turn up, but none the less this e30 was immaculate.Japan was also represented with this blown 300ZX.The favourite of the whole meet for me was this Camaro built to punish others on the drag strip.Dodge Charger, pure muscle. We’ll be regular attendes to these meets, nothing can beat the whine of a supercharger and the smell of burning rubber. A huge thanks to NZV8′s for organising such a awesome meet, head on over to http://forums.v8.co.nz to find out more.
